CAD Drafter - Construction

Job Description:

As a CAD Drafting Technician, you will be an essential part of our design and construction team, responsible for creating detailed drawings and plans that guide the construction process. You will work closely with engineers, architects, planners, decorators and project managers to produce accurate and comprehensive CAD drawings, ensuring that our projects are executed with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD and other drafting software.
  • Produce construction drawings, blueprints, and schematics for various construction projects.
  • Ensure drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Revise and update drawings as needed to reflect design changes or client feedback.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including specifications and material lists.
  • Coordinate with project teams to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
  • Maintain organized CAD files and records for easy access and reference.
  • Participate in quality control checks to ensure drawing accuracy.
  • Keep up-to-date with CAD software advancements and industry best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in CAD drafting, architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Previous experience in CAD drafting in the construction industry is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in creating drawings.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet project deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction materials and methods is an asset.
  • Familiarity with 3D modeling software is a plus.
  • Problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality.
