Reading Teacher
The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking a dedicated and qualified Reading Teacher for a full-time, probationary position at the elementary and middle school levels, beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.

Tentative Assignment: Netherwood Elementary School & Haviland Middle School
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted reading instruction and interventions to support students' literacy development
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, instructional support staff, and families to improve student outcomes
- Use data-driven strategies to assess student needs and monitor progress
- Deliver both push-in and pull-out services aligned with district curriculum and best practices
- Support the development of a positive and inclusive literacy-rich learning environment
Qualifications:
Required:
- New York State Certification in Reading (K – 12), Literacy B-6, or Literacy 5-8
Preferred:
- Familiarity with restorative practices, culturally responsive pedagogy, and evidence-based instructional strategies.
