Industrial Sales Representative
Reel Tape Corporation www.relatedproducts.com is a trusted distributor of specialty adhesive tapes, stretch wrap, custom poly bags, and labels to manufacturing companies and logistics firms throughout the United States. Our sales team are recognized experts in tape applications, and we take pride in delivering high-quality products backed by deep technical knowledge and outstanding customer service.
We are looking for an energetic, driven individual to take over an established territory near our warehouse with significant growth potential. This is a full-time industrial sales position. This position will be based in Elmhurst in our warehouse. You will spend your time visiting existing clients and prospecting for new business by phone and in person. If you love to sell, thrive on building relationships, and want a long-term career with a company that will invest in your success, this role is for you. This is not a position for a shy person.
We will teach you about our products and how to sell them. You will attend “Tape University” and read a lot of articles about the products we sell so you have a good feel about what we do. You will spend your time calling old customers, prospecting for new customers, and updating our CRM system with their information and our customer email lists. In addition, you will help in the warehouse and make some customer sales calls with salesmen.
You must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, have good computer and math skills, and be detail oriented.
What You’ll Do
- Learn a lot about our products. We will spend a lot of time training you.
- Prospect for new accounts through outbound phone calls and in-person visits to manufacturing and logistics facilities.
- Manage and grow an existing territory book of business.
- Build strong, consultative relationships with purchasing managers, operations leaders, and procurement teams.
- Recommend the right tape, stretch wrap, and labeling solutions for each customer’s specific application.
- Deliver outstanding follow-up and customer service to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity in our CRM system.
What We’re Looking For
- An outgoing, positive personality with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers.
- Clear, professional communication skills — both verbal and written. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to adapt quickly, work independently, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Good math skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle to get to work.
- Can lift 35lbs.
