ENGINEER - RESEARCH ENGINEER - Research, Development, and Testing Engineer Job Code: 18-01613

Objectives of this Role:

  • Provide engineering support and project management for validation testing of high-pressure safety valves and other flow system test articles / technologies.
  • Interact with commercial and government clients to develop and execute test protocols, coordinate logistics for test articles, and manage timely execution of deliverables.
  • Coordinate and support the preparation and delivery of final written reports and certifications to our customers.
  • Provide engineering support for custom flow loop system design and implementation.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

  • Perform engineering design and analysis of complex fluid flow systems in support of validation testing or other research studies.
  • Communicate with clients to arrange for testing of their test articles including quoting/bidding the cost to test based on their requirements.
  • Review and prepare test data, written reports, and certificates as deliverables for clients.
  • Coordinate with the team of engineers and technicians to execute all preparation, safety assessment, setup, testing, and data processing tasks needed for each project.
  • Use sound project management skills to drive successful technical and financial performance of projects.
  • Ensure strict adherence to test procedures and safety protocols per the Quality Management System, and work with the team to document and close any non-conformances.
  • Develop and maintain business through networking, customer engagement, attending conferences, and proposal writing.

Requirements:

  • Requires a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or directly related engineering degree.
  • 0-5 years: Internship or undergraduate research in the area of: petroleum systems, complex fluid flow systems, fluid rheology or similar field.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with good interpersonal skills to effectively manage client interactions.
  • Must be highly organized with great attention to detail.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
