Quality Assurance Engineer
Position Overview
The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer ensures that software products and systems meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance. This role involves designing and executing test plans, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver flawless user experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, document, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
Perform manual and automated testing to ensure product quality.
Identify, record, and track bugs through resolution.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
Conduct regression testing and validate fixes.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Provide detailed reports on test results, quality metrics, and risk assessments.
Continuously improve QA processes and tools.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
Proficiency in bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
Basic programming or scripting knowledge (e.g., Java, Python, SQL).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2–3 years of experience in software testing or QA roles (entry-level positions may require internships or project experience).
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with performance, security, or mobile testing.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
ISTQB or similar QA certification.
