Position Overview: The Human Resource Generalist Intern will play a vital role in our HR department, focusing on recruiting, hiring, and developing policies for sales roles. This is a part-time internship offering flexible working hours, with the option to work remotely or from our Hoboken office. This position provides valuable hands-on experience in human resources within the wealth management industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist in the recruitment process for sales positions, including drafting job descriptions, posting job ads, screening resumes, and conducting interviews. Learn how to use recruiting platforms such as Handshake and Simplicity.
  • Onboarding: Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the company.
  • Policy Development: Collaborate with the HR team to develop and update policies and procedures related to sales roles.
  • Employee Relations: Assist in maintaining positive employee relations by addressing inquiries and providing support to team members.
  • Training and Development: Support the design and implementation of training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of marketing and sales staff.
  • HR Administration: Help with maintaining HR records, preparing reports, and conducting research on HR best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in human resources, recruitment, and employee development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with HR software is a plus.
  • Previous internship or work experience in HR is preferred but not required.
