Career Resource Educator- L&C

JOB SUMMARY: The Career Resource Educator participates in the development of student Individual Educational Plan (IEP’s) coordinates services with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation; facilitates placement in appropriate vocational education classes/programs; assists with curriculum modification needs; and serves as a community/agency/parent liaison. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned. • Maintains regular attendance. • Maintains confidentiality, unquestionable integrity. • Coordinates services with the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. • Assists in the integration of students with disabilities into appropriate vocational education programs. • Assists in the development of Individual Educational Plans (IEP’s). • Assists the CTE teachers in the modifications of curriculum. • Attends appropriate meetings as requested. • Provides appropriate student information to sending schools. • Assist in counseling duties as necessary. • Maintains appropriate records and files. • Liaison with surrounding school districts, agencies and community. • Participates in VoARC Advisory Committee. • Participates in VR/WEC meetings. • OASIS Testing Coordination • Integral part of L&C enrollment team SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
