Paraeducator Position

Job Summary:

Coventry Public Schools is seeking dedicated and caring Paraeducators to support students across multiple grade levels and programs. Paraeducators play a vital role in fostering student success by assisting with instruction, supporting individual learning needs, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school environment.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, paraeducators help students achieve academic, social, and behavioral goals while promoting independence and engagement in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Support students in classroom and small-group settings
• Assist teachers with instructional activities and classroom management
• Provide academic, behavioral, and social-emotional support as directed
• Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to meet student needs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Experience working with children preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to supporting diverse learners
