Math Instructor – After School Learning Center (Part-Time)

Mathnasium of Hollister is looking for energetic, friendly Math Instructors who love working with kids and helping students build confidence in math.

At Mathnasium, we teach students in grades K–12 using our proven teaching method. Instructors work with students in a fun, positive learning environment — no lesson planning, no homework grading, and no traveling to students' homes.

This is a great opportunity for college students, future teachers, STEM majors, and anyone who enjoys helping children succeed.

Responsibilities

Teach math to elementary, middle, and high school students

Work with students individually and in small groups

Explain math concepts in a clear and encouraging way

Help students develop confidence and problem-solving skills

Follow the Mathnasium teaching methods and curriculum

Track student progress during sessions

Create a positive and motivating learning environment

Qualifications

Required:

Strong math skills through Algebra

Excellent communication skills

Patient, friendly, and enthusiastic personality

Enjoy working with children

Reliable and professional

Preferred (not required):

Experience tutoring or teaching

College coursework in Math, Engineering, Science, Education, or related fields

Ability to teach Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, or Calculus a plus

Training is provided.

Schedule

Part-time afternoon/evening hours:

Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Saturday hours may be available

Flexible scheduling available.

Perfect for college students.

Pay

$18–$22 per hour
(based on math skills and experience)
