Film Marketing Assistant

Part-Time Film Marketing & Social Media Assistant

LCMedia Productions is seeking a part-time assistant to help with the theatrical rollout of the award-winning documentary "The Airwaves Belonged to the People: WBCN and The American Revolution," about the legendary Boston radio station WBCN and its role in music, politics, media, and social change.

This is a good opportunity for a student, recent graduate, or early-career person interested in documentary film, arts management, theatrical marketing, film distribution, or social media promotion to help develop and facilitate a major documentary film theatrical rollout in theaters and on social media.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media promotion
• Editing video clips and creating short reels for social media
• Posting clips, captions, screening announcements, and updates
• Helping coordinate social media collaboration requests with theaters and partners
• Researching theaters, film societies, arts centers, and community screening opportunities
• Sending outreach emails to venues using provided language and materials
• Tracking follow-ups and responses
• Helping maintain screening lists, contacts, and promotional materials

The right person should be organized, reliable, comfortable with social media, and interested in film, arts, media, or cultural marketing. Prior experience with film promotion, theater marketing, arts administration, social media, or basic video editing is helpful but not required.

Hours: Approximately 8 hours/week
Pay: $150/week
Location: Remote
