Teacher Assistant, inclusive Preschool Classroom

Early Childhood Teacher Assistant

Little Rock, AR

Teacher Assistant, Inclusive Preschool Classroom

Full-time, 40 hours per week · Monday through Friday · $15/hr. Little Rock, AR

Our preschool classrooms bring together children with developmental delays and typically developing children to learn, play, and grow side by side. It's intentional, it's joyful, and it works. We're looking for the right person to be part of it.

About Our Program

ACCESS operates preschool classrooms where children with developmental delays and typical learners are educated together from the start. Our classrooms are warm, structured, and busy, supported by a lead teacher and a full clinical team that includes speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. Therapists work in and alongside classrooms every day.

About the Role

You'll work alongside the lead teacher in a shared classroom, supporting daily routines, helping individual students navigate activities, and being one of the consistent, trusted adults the children count on.

You'll follow the lead teacher's plans and guidance throughout the day. The clinical team works in and around the classroom, so you will naturally learn from the professionals around you. The students in your classroom will know your name, look for your face, and make progress you'll be proud of.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Support classroom routines, transitions, and activities under the lead teacher's direction

• Provide direct assistance to students during instruction, play, transitions, and meals

• Assist with personal care and mobility support as needed

• Build respectful, professional relationships with families

What This Role Offers

• A classroom model you'll be proud to describe, welcoming, purposeful, and joyful

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

• Daily collaboration with speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, a real learning    environment for anyone interested in those fields

• Structured support from an experienced lead teacher from day one

• Work that is meaningful in ways that are hard to find anywhere else

Benefits

• Medical, dental, and vision insurance

• Paid holidays and paid time off

• 401(k) retirement plan

• Professional development opportunities

Why People Love This Work

The moments are often small but meaningful. A child saying a   new word for the first time. A student joining a group activity   independently. A family sharing a milestone they were not sure would happen.   If you enjoy helping children grow and celebrating progress, you will find   purpose here.

Selection Process

Prior to starting work, all candidates must pass a drug screening and receive clearance on a criminal background check, adult and child maltreatment check, and abuse/neglect registry check.
