Fall 2026 Consumer and Market Insights (CMI) Intern

As a co-op, you will be working alongside our experts and engineers to further Midea innovation. We offer three co-op rotations each year—spring, summer, and fall—in accordance with the typical university schedule. We are looking for mechanical engineer or, if qualified, aerospace engineers to fill our mechanical engineering roles. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support Consumer Insights Specialist throughout all phases of consumer insights as they relate to new product development.
  • Help to perform both quantitative and qualitative research to get a clear picture of consumer behavior, preferences, and market trends. 
  • Assist in the development of detailed reports and presentations to share findings and recommendations with stakeholders.
  • Assist in designing and developing questionnaires and surveys for various research projects.
  • Help manage and maintain research equipment and materials. 
  • Ensure accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
  • Utilize consumer insights to help guide the development of products to meet the needs of the target consumer. 

Required Eligibility 

  • Undergraduate in university, pursuing bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, psychology, or a related field. Graduate students may apply. 
  • Must be able to work in and relocate in Louisville, KY and have reliable transportation to/from work.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week on site.
  • Must possess strong communication skills both written and oral.
  • Must possess strong collaborative attributes that will enable the candidate to work in a dynamic culturally diverse company.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Familiar with various research methods and statistical analysis.. 
  • Able to analyze and interpret data to uncover trends and insights. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as effective problem- solving and organizational skills. 
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and results-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines and follow-through.
  • A strong desire to learn about and understand consumer behavior and market trends.
  • Knowledge of, or experience in, market research, consumer research, and/or survey/discussion guide design development.
