Content Creator and Video Producer
Content Creator & Video Producer
Flight & Aerospace Academy | Jersey City, NJ
StudentBrains is working with Flight & Aerospace Academy to find a content creator and video producer.
About Us
Flight & Aerospace Academy is a youth aviation and drone engineering program in Jersey City. Kids ages 6 to 17 fly Cessna simulators, design and build their own drones, and train toward real credentials like the FAA Part 107 drone certificate and a Private Pilot License. Our motto is simple: we build the person, not just the project. We run in partnership with Princeton Flying School.
The Role
We are looking for someone who can document the story of what we are building here and turn it into great video. You will be in the room while kids build their first drone, nail their first landing, and light up when something they built actually flies. Your job is to capture that, shape it into stories, and get it in front of parents and the wider community.
Filming and editing are the core of this role. You should be genuinely strong behind a camera and in an editing timeline. The work can be on-camera as a spokesperson or fully behind the scenes, whatever fits your strengths. Video is the priority, but we also want someone who can repurpose that work into other formats: short-form social, graphics, written posts, and more.
You will also work directly with students to help them document what they are building and learning, and help them build a real portfolio of their work. This September we are launching our Cadet Program, a ranked, mastery-based progression students advance through as they build skills, and you will help capture and promote it.
We want this person to own the content pipeline end to end. That means running a content calendar across our channels, finding smart ways to grow on platforms like Reddit, building user-generated content from our families and students, and occasionally traveling with us to the airports to capture flight training. We are hands-on owners who will work closely with you. This role can start at a lighter commitment and grow into more hours as we scale.
What You Will Do
- Shoot and edit high-quality video from camp sessions, flight sim training, and drone builds
- Produce short promotional and informational videos for social media and the website
- Repurpose video into other formats: short-form clips, graphics, and written content
- Run and grow our social channels including Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
- Own the content pipeline: maintain a content calendar across all our channels
- Grow our presence on platforms like Reddit
- Build user-generated content from our families and students
- Occasionally travel with us to the airports to film flight training
- Build a documented content library of everything we do
- Help students film and document what they are building and learning, and build their portfolios
- Help capture and promote our Cadet Program, launching September 2026
- Help execute the marketing calendar alongside the founder
