Partnerships and Business Development Associate
THE ROLE
We're looking for a Partnerships & Business Development Associate to work directly alongside the founder — who has been running all sales and partnerships from day one. This is a ground-floor opportunity to own a real function.
You'll represent Prima Mode on the ground — at local events, industry conferences, and in the communities where CPG founders and operators live. You'll build relationships, bring warm leads into the pipeline, and help drive brand awareness in the markets where we want to grow.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Attend CPG, beauty, and health industry events in Austin or NYC — and open to travel to 2–3 national conferences per year
- Be Prima Mode's presence at local meetups, brand activations, and community dinners
- Prospect and cultivate relationships with brand founders, accelerators, and ecosystem players
- Bring qualified leads into the pipeline and hand off warm to the founder to close
- Feed our Substack, LinkedIn, and community channels — turning relationships into content moments
- Host or co-host events where Prima Mode is the anchor presence
- Grab coffee with warm contacts and keep our network tight and growing
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Based in Austin, TX or New York, NY — you need to be on the ground, not remote
- Genuinely passionate about health, beauty, wellness, or CPG — this comes through in conversation
- Recent grad or 1–3 years in; you want to hustle, learn, build, and own something real
- Outgoing and comfortable walking into a room
- Self-directed: you don't need hand-holding to show up, follow up, and follow through
- Interested in partnerships, community building, or B2B sales as a long-term path
NICE TO HAVE
- Existing network in CPG, beauty, or e-commerce circles
- Familiar with Amazon, DTC brands, or what agencies actually do for clients
- Experience attending or helping organize industry events
- Active on LinkedIn — you know how to build a presence
