Piano Accompanist
Job Summary
We are seeking a talented, energetic, and versatile Piano Instructor & Accompanist to join our creative arts staff for the upcoming summer season at Point O'Pines Camp. In this role, you will inspire campers and be providing musical accompaniment for camp-wide events, singalongs, and theatrical productions. This position combines a passion for music with the rewarding, high-energy environment of summer camp.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Accompaniment: Play piano for special events, and musical theater rehearsals or performances.
- Collaborate on Productions: Partner closely with the Theater Director and Vocal Coach to prepare campers for weekly or end-of-session shows.
- Maintain Equipment: Oversee the care, tuning scheduling, and safety of camp pianos and keyboards.
- Participate in Camp Life: Support general camp operations, which may include cabin supervision, leading recreational activities, and ensuring camper safety.
Qualifications & Skills
- Musical Proficiency: Strong piano performance skills with the ability to sight-read quickly and accompany vocalists or ensembles.
- Versatility: Ability to play diverse musical styles, including musical theater, pop, classical, and traditional camp songs.
- Adaptability: High energy, patience, and a positive attitude suited for a vibrant camp environment.
- Background Check: Must successfully pass all required state and federal background checks.
