React Developer – Asset Management Trading Technology
Location: New York City, NY (Onsite – 5 Days/Week)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented React Developer to join a leading financial services organisation in New York City. This role sits within the Asset Management Trading Technology team. It focuses on building mission-critical platforms that support real-time trading, risk management, and investment decision-making across global markets.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and enhancing user-facing trading applications that support derivatives trading workflows. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and engineering teams to create intuitive, high-performance applications that enable users to place, monitor, and manage trades efficiently.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain production-grade React applications supporting trading workflows.

Partner with traders, portfolio managers, and engineers to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions.

Build new features and enhance existing trading tools and dashboards.

Develop real-time user interfaces with live monitoring and streaming data capabilities.

Integrate front-end applications with APIs and distributed backend services.

Participate in application architecture, workflow design, and technical discussions.

Collaborate with global engineering teams across New York and Bengaluru.

Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality and performance.

Support production issues and contribute to the reliability of business-critical systems.

Utilise AI-assisted development tools to improve development efficiency and code quality.

Required Qualifications

Experience in front-end development, particularly with React.

Experience supporting front-office trading platforms or building applications for derivatives trading (options, futures, swaps, structured products).

Hands-on experience developing complex, workflow-driven React applications in production environments.

Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and modern front-end development practices.

Experience with component-based architecture, state management, and performance optimisation.

Experience working with Figma and collaborating on UX/UI design.

Experience building real-time dashboards, monitoring tools, or streaming data applications.

Strong understanding of APIs and integration patterns between front-end and distributed backend services.

Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and translate user needs into effective software solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience within asset management, investment management, or financial services technology environments.

Experience supporting high-availability, business-critical applications in production environments.
