GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: This position serves as instructor for music programs offered by Metro Parks, including leading and instructing classes for youth, adults, and seniors, and supporting and contributing to Metro Parks concerts and special events.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create, initiate, and conduct music recreation and learning experiences for Metro Parks patrons of all ages.
- Bring music expertise and experience to the performance of the job.
- Present Metro Parks’ music programs in a most positive way to the public.
- Actively support all departmental efforts as prescribed and needed.
- Perform record keeping and paperwork, including time sheets, class rosters, registration materials, etc.
- Check in and out sound equipment to community centers and other Metro agencies.
- Set up and run sound equipment for many departmental functions.
- Assist with equipment maintenance and repair.
