Donor & Communications Specialist

Donor and Communications Specialist – Full Time, 40 Hours per week 

 

Responsible for the following job duties:

 

  • Works closely with the Philanthropy team to design and implement a comprehensive fundraising and outreach plan.
  • Specialize in implementing our agency communications strategy, raising awareness in the broader community, and deepening ReadyKids relationships with donors contributing less than $1,000 annually.

 

Successful candidates will have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years) in relevant field required. Experience in the nonprofit sector, including communications and marketing experience, preferred.
  • Possess strong people skills, be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a collaborative team-oriented environment, and exercise sound judgment and problem solving skills while completing task of position.
  • Solid multi-tasker that is flexible and enjoys varied job tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to express and transmit ideas in a clear and organized manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships within and outside the agency in a professional manner.
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, WordPress, e-mail marketing tools, Canva, and Adobe Suite Design Software.

 

Compensation/Benefits:

 

  • Salary: starting at $50,000
  • For employee-only coverage, ReadyKids pays 90–100% of health insurance premiums and 100% of dental and life insurance premiums
