Commercial Engineering Intern

We are seeking a full-time Commercial Engineering Intern to join our Canonsburg, PA office to support the Global Services team. This role will focus on bridging engineering and commercial activities through cost modeling, pricing development, and deal support. The internship runs Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, or Mechanical Engineering (or related discipline)
- Completed at least two years of undergraduate coursework
- Interest in both technical engineering and commercial/business processes
- Experience with Excel strongly preferred
Job Description:
This role provides hands-on experience supporting Aquatech’s deal development process by helping design structured cost and pricing tools. The intern will work closely with engineering and business stakeholders to improve consistency, efficiency, and quality in project cost estimation and pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing Excel-based cost and pricing models
- Organize engineering cost inputs including equipment, labor, and materials
- Support development of pricing logic and margin analysis
- Create structured templates for deal summaries and internal reviews
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand cost drivers and business needs
- Provide recommendations to improve usability and standardization of tools
Skill Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with both technical and financial data
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Internship Details:
This is a full-time, in-office internship (40 hours/week) for up to 90 days. Interns will gain valuable exposure to real-world engineering and commercial processes within the water treatment industry.
