Parents as Teachers Educator
Region A Partnership for Children is hiring for two full-time positions for the Parents as Teachers home visiting program in our region. The Parents as Teachers home visiting program is delivered in partnership with families with children aged prenatal to five in Jackson, Macon and Swain Counties. The Parents as Teachers provide family support and developmental information through home visits, group support meetings and referral to other providers.
Parent as Teachers have the flexibility of traveling to family homes, spending time in the Region A Partnership for Children’s offices and attending virtual and in-person meetings.
A certified Parents as Teachers Parent Educator implements the Parents as Teachers (PAT) model, emphasizing parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being in partnership with families. Utilizing the Parents as Teachers Foundational Curriculum in culturally sensitive ways, the PAT Parent Educator partners, facilitates and reflects with families.
