Position Overview

The School of Theatre, Dance, and Film is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable student worker to assist with a variety of summer projects supporting departmental operations, digital resources, and facility organization. This position offers hands-on experience in website management, digital asset organization, archives, and arts administration.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects while working independently and collaboratively.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with website optimization and content updates for School of Theatre, Dance, and Film webpages.
  • Curate Theatre Center production photo galleries and digital media archives.
  • Support classroom, storage, and office organization projects within the Theatre Center.
  • Assist with costume inventory and cataloging projects in the Jowers Center and Dance Costume Collection.
  • Assist with special projects as assigned by faculty and staff.
  • Maintain professional communication and provide regular progress updates on assigned projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Current Texas State University student eligible for student employment or work-study for the summer semesters.
  • Good academic standing with the university.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 15 pounds.
  • Ability to work in office, storage, archive, and classroom environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with website content management systems.
  • Familiarity with digital asset management, photography, or archives.
  • Interest in arts administration, marketing, theatre, dance, or film.
  • Experience organizing inventories, collections, or records.
