Position Summary
Hope Villages of America seeks a highly organized, detail-oriented Development Coordinator to support fundraising, donor engagement, special events, and development operations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the success of fundraising initiatives through excellent project management, donor stewardship, database administration, and cross-departmental collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities
Donor & Database Management
- Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and constituent records within the organization’s CRM/database.
- Process gifts, pledges, recurring donations, and acknowledgments in a timely and accurate manner.
- Generate donor reports, mailing lists, fundraising metrics, and campaign analytics.
- Ensure data integrity and adherence to donor confidentiality standards.
- Assist with donor prospect research and relationship tracking.
Fundraising & Development Support
- Coordinate fundraising campaigns, donor appeals, sponsorship efforts, and stewardship activities.
- Assist with grant tracking, reporting deadlines, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare donor correspondence, thank-you letters, and recognition materials.
- Support cultivation and stewardship strategies for individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Track campaign progress and assist in meeting fundraising goals.
Event Coordination
- Support planning and execution of fundraising events, donor receptions, volunteer activities, and community engagement opportunities.
- Manage event registration, sponsorship fulfillment, guest communications, and logistics.
- Coordinate event timelines, materials, and volunteer assignments.
- Assist with post-event reporting, donor follow-up, and data entry.
Administrative & Communications Support
- Provide administrative support to the Development team.
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, donor visits, and follow-up communications.
- Draft and proofread development-related communications and marketing materials.
- Serve as a professional ambassador for Hope Villages of America with donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fundraising, development, nonprofit administration, customer relationship management, or related experience.
- Experience working with CRM or donor database systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities simultaneously.
Preferred
- Experience with donor management platforms such as Raiser’s Edge NXT, Bloomerang, DonorPerfect, or similar CRM systems.
- Experience supporting fundraising events and donor stewardship activities.
- Knowledge of nonprofit fundraising best practices.
