UNPAID - Climate Change Community Engagement Internship
Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC) is seeking two undergrad or grad students for an unpaid, part-time Clean Energy Community Engagement Internship with Baltimore Green Justice Workers Cooperative (BGJWC).
Interns will assist with in coordinating and implementing community outreach events that help residents in frontline communities learn more about clean energy initiatives in Baltimore, MD. Duties include:
(1) telephoning and/or emailing residents to get feedback/updates or to share information;
(2) creating flyers, surveys, posters, collages and other informational documents;
(3) researching local, national and international clean energy resources;
(4) assist in the coordination of follow-up meetings (in-person and/or virtual) with community residents and community partners;
(5) working with residents and BGJWC staff to develop presentations and outreach materials; and
(6) other duties as assigned.
This internship is hybrid. The majority of work is done virtually with meetings via ZOOM; however, interns must meet in-person weekly.
NOTE: If approved by their educational institutions, college students selected for this internship may receive program or course credit. BGJWC encourages eligible applicants to speak with their college advisor and/or the career development office at their college to inquire about the opportunity to receive program or course credit.
