General Manager (Nashville)
Overview
The General Manager is responsible for leading the overall operation of the lounge, with a focus on hospitality, bar experience and guest engagement. The goal is to deliver a great guest experience while building a strong team, and driving business results across bar, retail, and events.
Responsibilities
- Drives overall sales, KPis, and profitability for the location across bar, retail and events
- Leads the day-to-day operations of the lounge as an on the floor, hands on leader, ensuring a high level of service and a strong guest experience
- Ensures compliance to all state and local regulations. Maintains a comfortable, responsible and safe environment.
- Sets and maintains a hospitality-first culture, where team members are engaged, knowledgeable, and focused on delivering great service.
- Analyzes and measures retail business trends. Seeks opportunities and implements plans to increase topline retail sales and profitability through product education, events, and outside partnerships.
- Full P&L responsibility. Monitors all expenses and costs within the store to achieve positive store contribution and be in line with the set budget objectives.
- Oversees bar and lounge operations, including service flow, beverage quality, and overall atmosphere.
- Recruit, train and lead a team of top performing associates. Challenges and inspires others to achieve and execute sales driving initiatives.
- Maintains an active performance development process. Provides coaching in the moment and performance feedback to employees. Conducts formal performance reviews consulting with HR.
- Acts as a brand ambassador in the Nashville Market, building relationships and driving local awareness
- Maintains the overall look and feel of the lounge to ensure it reflects a premium experience.
- Demonstrates an energetic, persistent and professional demeanor at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by the Market Manager.
Qualifications
- Strong hospitality mindset with a focus on guest experience and service quality
- A track record of motivating and inspiring a team of individuals to meet challenging
- Demonstrated flexibility and emotional intelligence to confront frequently changing business conditions with energy and accountability.
- Solid business acumen, with experience managing P&L in hospitality or retail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving Uses data to make informed decisions with pace.
- Understands the big picture and demonstrates good judgement to best serve the
- Excels in time management and Ability to manage competing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Natural communicator with a strong executive presence. Known to build relationships both inside and outside the organization.
- Three plus years of retail or hospitality management
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience managing bar operations/ and or multi revenue streams (bar+retail) is a plus
- Ability to work a flexible schedule (night, weekends, holidays)
- Previous experience with successfully coaching and developing others is
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Superb oral and written English communication skills (Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Hands on team player with a strong work-ethic
Ability to travel, as required (less than 10%)
