Summary

We are seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to support our operations and administrative functions. This hands-on internship provides an opportunity to gain real-world experience in a professional finance environment, working alongside experienced staff on meaningful projects that contribute directly to the organization's financial operations.

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice review and data entry 
  • Support the period-close process by preparing journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, and other reports
  • Prepare routine financial reports, spreadsheets, and summaries for management review
  • Help prepare monthly bank reconciliations by comparing bank statements with internal financial records
  • Maintain and organize tax and financial records, files, and documentation in compliance with internal policies
  • Assist with maintaining fixed asset records including additions, retirements, and book depreciation schedules across multiple entities
  • Perform other administrative and operational tasks to support the finance team

 

 

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Completion of at least one year of coursework in accounting or finance preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas); experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to handle confidential information
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • GPA of 3.0 or above preferred
