Job Summary
Auto Use is seeking a motivated and experienced Collections Specialist to join our growing team in Andover, MA. This position is responsible for managing dealer customer accounts with outstanding balances, negotiating payment arrangements, and ensuring timely collections while maintaining strong customer relationships.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced office environment.
Responsibilities
- Contact dealer customers regarding outstanding balances and negotiate payment plans
- Ensure timely payments and follow up on delinquent accounts as needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of collection activities
- Communicate with internal departments to resolve customer account issues
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining professionalism
- Meet or exceed monthly collection goals and performance expectations
- Monitor account status and escalate issues when appropriate
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of collections, accounts receivable, or related experience
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and collections/accounting software
- Ability to multitask and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain seated for extended periods
- Frequent use of computer, phone, and office equipment
Work Environment
- Full-time, in-office position located in Andover, MA
