Job Position: 2026-27 School Year PE Teacher

Location: Rockford, IL 61107

Pay Rate: W2, hourly; Starting at $32/hour (based on experience)

Description:

Looking for a role where your passion for physical education helps students stay active, confident, and healthy? We’re seeking a P.E. Teacher for a full‑time, school‑year position. This role consists of giving you the consistency and collaboration needed to build strong relationships with students and staff. You’ll design and deliver engaging physical education lessons, promote lifelong fitness habits, support student development, and contribute to a positive, active school culture.

What you’ll need:

• Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License) with Physical Education endorsement




• Experience teaching P.E. in a school setting (preferred)




• Ability to plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate activities




• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills




• Knowledge of student health, safety, and inclusive physical activity practices

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver daily physical education lessons aligned with state standards




• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits




• Ensure student safety during all physical activities and use of equipment




• Assess and monitor student progress




• Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student success
