Middle School Science Teacher

At Brooklyn Lab, curiosity isn't just welcomed — it's the whole point. We're a small, mission-driven school community where every scholar is known by name, and our educators are the reason students gain two to three years of academic growth on average.

We're looking for a rigorous, relationship-driven Middle School Science teacher to join our team. You'll deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction, use data to continuously sharpen your practice, and support the whole scholar — academically and socially — through differentiated instruction and advisory. This is a role for someone who loves middle schoolers, believes in their potential, and knows how to channel their energy into real learning.

What we're looking for:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Science (all disciplines welcome), Master’s Degree preferred
  • Certification to teach in New York State
  • Experience teaching in urban and/or low-income areas preferred
  • A proven record of academic achievement as a student and an educator
  • Commitment to LAB’s mission and vision for excellence
  • A growth mindset and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Comfort with accountability and the ability to absorb feedback for the development of your craft and the scholars in your care

If you're a science educator who wants to spark a love of discovery in young people — in a school that walks the talk on student growth — we'd love to hear from you. Apply directly through Brooklyn Lab's careers page by clicking here.
