Vendor Root serves the vendors who keep apartment communities, commercial properties, hotels, condos, HOAs, and management companies running. Our clients include the essential businesses properties depend on every day: plumbers, contractors, asphalt companies, concrete companies, restoration teams, maintenance providers, and other service partners that keep buildings, communities, and operations alive.

Our Industry Relations Account Cultivators are the bridge between the businesses that need solutions and the vendors who can provide them.

You are not simply collecting leads.

You are walking into the field, finding the friction, hearing what is broken, learning who is not showing up, discovering what projects are coming, and helping Vendor Root connect the right people to the right opportunities.

You become the person a property manager trusts enough to tell the truth to.

You become the one who hears what is really happening behind the front desk, inside the maintenance office, and across the property.

You become the miracle person who brings solutions before the problem becomes a disaster.

What You’ll Do

As an Industry Relations Account Cultivator, you will travel throughout your assigned market visiting apartment communities, property management offices, commercial buildings, condos, hotels, HOAs, and other business locations to build relationships and uncover opportunities for Vendor Root supplier partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Visiting properties and businesses in your assigned market on a regular basis
• Building real relationships with property managers, regional managers, owners, maintenance teams, office staff, and decision makers
• Asking smart questions to uncover service needs, vendor problems, upcoming projects, budget concerns, and operational pain points
• Gathering real time field intelligence about what businesses need, what vendors they use, and where current vendors may be falling short
• Identifying qualified opportunities for Vendor Root supplier partners
• Creating introductions, meetings, and business development opportunities for our vendor clients
• Representing Vendor Root with professionalism, confidence, warmth, and integrity
• Attending networking events, trade shows, apartment association events, and industry functions when needed
• Recording notes, contacts, property details, opportunities, and follow up items in our CRM
• Supporting Vendor Root as we expand into new cities and major markets across the country

Who We’re Looking For

We are looking for people who are hungry, polished, emotionally intelligent, and not afraid to walk through a door without an introduction.

This role is ideal for someone who has the courage of a salesperson, the social instinct of a bartender, the confidence of a real estate agent, and the listening skills of someone people naturally open up to.

• Confident speaking with decision makers, managers, owners, and staff

• Willing to drive, travel locally, and spend most of your time out meeting people
• Strong with follow up, note taking, and communication
• Interested in sales, business development, networking, property management, or vendor services
• Motivated by growth, commission, opportunity, and building something from the ground up

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following fields is helpful, but not required:

• Multifamily housing
• Property management
• Vendor sales
• Construction
• Restoration
• Maintenance services
• Plumbing, asphalt, concrete, roofing, landscaping, or trade related services
• Outside sales
• Business development
• Real estate
• Hospitality
• Marketing
• HOA, commercial, hotel, or apartment industry experience
• Bartending, serving, or other high volume people focused roles
