IVF CLINICAL COORDINATOR
Academically oriented internationally renowned fertility center with international clientele in NYC UES is seeking RN/LPN (or equivalent training) to fill additional nurse-coordinator position in the center’s busy IVF program. Prior IVF experience and knowledge of a foreign language preferred but not an absolute prerequisite, as training will be required even with prior experience.
This position involves a large amount of close and independent interaction with patients and, therefore, requires professional and pleasant demeanor, good interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to multitask. JOB DESCRIPTION
· Coordinates patient care and makes immediate decisions for those areas within the scope of his/her responsibility using knowledge of standards, policies, and procedures as they apply to reproductive/fertility services.
· As part of the clinical leadership team, participates in strategic planning, implementation, evaluation, and revision of systems to support and enhance the competence, autonomy, and accountability of the nursing staff within the IVF/ REI program.
- Direct patient interaction and coordination of infertility testing and treatment plans, including IVF and IUI cycles, between patients and physicians.
- Telephone triage patient calls regarding medications, treatment plans, and test results.
- Maintain patient charting in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Provide patient education and counseling on treatment protocols, mediations, and infertility procedures.
- Responsible for accurate and timely communication of physician orders, instructions, and lab results to patients.
- Transcribe and transmit prescriptions per physician’s instruction and process prior authorizations as needed.
- Pre- and post-op care of patients having procedures (i.e., egg retrieval, embryo transfer, hysteroscopy).
- Communicate with all staff, clinical and administrative, to provide the highest level of quality patient care.
- Related duties as assigned.
Minimum 1+ years of patient coordinator/nursing experience in women's health, fertility, or OB/GYN is often preferred, though some roles may require it.
Salary: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
