Lab Assistant, Computer Numeric Control (CNC) - (Grant-funded)
Performs responsible, professional work in support of specialized academic learning laboratory operation. Work is governed by broad instructions and objectives involving infrequent changing conditions. Requires substantial judgment and creativity in the development of activities and solution of problems.
Essential Functions/Duties:
- Assist students in program procedures and practices.
- Research, recommend and request budget items relative to costs, vendors etc.
- Assemble and prepare new supply and equipment orders.
- Prepare program class labs, clean and store lab equipment, and supplies.
- Price and select items for program lab.
- Prepare inventory of equipment and supplies.
- Conduct basic maintenance on lab equipment.
- Implement teaching prescriptions for students requiring remediation.
- Perform various tasks in college open computer system.
- Other duties as assigned.

Salary and Benefits Information
- This position is level C15.

Required Education:
- Graduation from a standard high school (or equivalent) is required.
Preferred Education:
- Associate degree preferred.
Required Experience:
- Professional training as a CNC Machinist is required
- One (1) year of experience in a CNC environment is required.
Preferred Experience:
- NIMS industry certification is preferred.
