HR Assistant Intern

Job Title: HR Assistant Intern

Position Summary:
The HR Assistant Intern provides administrative support to the Human Resources department while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and compliance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR records.
  • Assist with data entry and HR reporting.
  • Help prepare employee communications and HR documents.
  • Respond to routine employee inquiries and direct questions to appropriate HR staff.
  • Assist with benefits administration and enrollment activities as needed.
  • Support compliance with company policies and employment laws.
  • Participate in HR projects and special assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous administrative or customer service experience.
  • Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems (ATS).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
