Job Title: HR Assistant Intern
Position Summary:
The HR Assistant Intern provides administrative support to the Human Resources department while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting activities, including posting job openings and scheduling interviews.
- Support new hire onboarding and orientation processes.
- Maintain and update employee personnel files and HR records.
- Assist with data entry and HR reporting.
- Help prepare employee communications and HR documents.
- Respond to routine employee inquiries and direct questions to appropriate HR staff.
- Assist with benefits administration and enrollment activities as needed.
- Support compliance with company policies and employment laws.
- Participate in HR projects and special assignments.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Detail-oriented with a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous administrative or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with HR systems or applicant tracking systems (ATS).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
