At ASPIRE Creative Arts Program, we believe everyone has hidden talents waiting to be discovered. As our Music Instructor, you’ll play a meaningful role in helping our students build confidence, creativity, and social skills through the power of music.
About ASPIRE
ASPIRE Creative Arts Program is a nonprofit organization in Anaheim, CA, dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual disabilities through visual and performing arts. We offer classes, performances, and community opportunities in a warm, supportive, family-like environment. In 2021, we were honored with the Service Provider Spotlight Award from RCOC for outstanding service to people with developmental disabilities.
What You’ll Do
- Design and teach engaging music classes tailored to your expertise (vocal, keyboard, guitar, drums, musical theatre, songwriting, and more).
- Create a nurturing, therapeutic learning environment that supports students’ social, emotional, creative, and artistic growth.
- Plan lessons, document student progress, and help set meaningful individual goals.
- Collaborate with our close-knit team to organize performances, special events, and volunteer activities.
- Bring your unique skills and creativity — we welcome non-music talents too!
Who We’re Looking For
We seek compassionate, patient, and flexible individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Ideal candidates are:
- Creative and nurturing instructors who can adapt to different learning styles.
- Dedicated and committed team members who thrive in a collaborative, supportive setting.
- Strong communicators who value acceptance, respect, and personal growth.
No prior experience working with intellectual disabilities is required — we value enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine desire to support others. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time preferred: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Part-time options available
- Pay: $21–$24 per hour
- Benefits: Health insurance, 401(k)
Must pass a background check.
