Duration: 12-Month Contract (Potential Extension)
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Work Arrangement: 100% Onsite
About the Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Schedule Planner II (Production Scheduler) to join a manufacturing operations team in Davenport, Iowa. This position supports fabrication operations, including laser cutting and forming processes, and plays a critical role in ensuring production schedules align with customer demand, material availability, and manufacturing capacity.
This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates with a degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business, or a related field, as well as professionals with scheduling and production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and adjust production schedules to support manufacturing operations.
- Coordinate scheduling activities for laser cutting, forming, and fabrication processes.
- Monitor production progress and make schedule changes as necessary to meet operational goals.
- Work closely with Supervisors, Engineers, Production Teams, and other Schedulers.
- Analyze material availability, capacity constraints, and production requirements.
- Utilize ERP systems and Excel tools to manage production data and scheduling activities.
- Communicate schedule priorities and production updates across departments.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations.
- Spend approximately 75% of work time on the production floor supporting operations and 25% in an office environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience;
OR
- High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of scheduling, production planning, manufacturing, or material planning experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAP or other ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Experience in manufacturing, production, fabrication, machining, assembly, or industrial operations.
- Knowledge of production scheduling, capacity planning, inventory management, or material planning.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

- Must be flexible to support alternate shifts based on business needs.
- Overtime may be required based on production demands.
- Metatarsal safety boots are required on the first day.
