Position Summary:

Matrix Home Care is seeking an experienced Staffing Coordinator to support our growing home care operations in Broward and West Palm Beach. This position plays a critical role in coordinating and scheduling Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and therapy staff to ensure timely patient care and coverage.

The ideal candidate will have prior home care or healthcare staffing experience and a strong background in scheduling nurses for Start of Care (SOC), routine visits, recertifications, evaluations, hourly cases, and ongoing patient care needs. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and schedule RNs, LPNs, CNAs, HHAs, PTs, OTs, and Speech Therapists to meet patient care needs

Manage daily nursing schedules, including Start of Care (SOC) visits, routine skilled nursing visits, reassessments, recertifications, and follow-up visits

Monitor nurse availability, productivity, coverage areas, and visit assignments

Fill open visits and staffing gaps while ensuring continuity of patient care

Communicate with clinical managers, branch leadership, nurses, therapists, patients, and caregivers regarding scheduling changes

Coordinate urgent staffing requests and same-day coverage needs

Track visit frequencies and assist with ensuring physician orders and patient needs are met timely

Support staffing for both Medicare home health and private duty services

Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation within company systems

Assist with onboarding coordination and communication for newly hired field staff

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of healthcare staffing, scheduling, or home care coordination experience preferred

Strong experience scheduling RNs and clinical staff in a home care, home health, hospice, private duty, or healthcare environment

Knowledge of nurse visit frequencies, Start of Care (SOC), OASIS workflows, and home health operations preferred

Experience working with scheduling and EMR systems such as KanTime, Homecare Home Base, Axxess, or similar platforms is a plus

Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities

Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and scheduling software
