IT Support Assistant
We provide technical support and basic coding assistance to faculty, staff, or fellow students. Troubleshoot software/hardware issues, assist with website updates, and help maintain internal tools or databases.
Responsibilities:
Respond to IT support tickets (password resets, software installs, connectivity issues).
Debug and test small code snippets (Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or SQL).
Update website content or fix broken links using a CMS or basic front-end code.
Document common technical issues and solutions for a knowledge base.
Assist with data entry, script automation, or basic server log reviews.
Requirements:
Enrolled student with Federal Work-Study award (if specified).
Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C++).
Familiarity with operating systems (Windows/macOS/Linux) and common software (Office 365, Google Workspace, Zoom).
Strong problem-solving and written communication skills.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
Hours & Pay:
10–20 hours/week, flexible around class schedule.
Pay: Typically 15–25/hour (subsidized via Work-Study)
