About Notre Dame Mission Volunteers AmeriCorps (NDMV)
NDMVA teams work with local partners to increase access to education and other essential social services. By collaborating with local organizations, NDMVA aims to make a lasting impression on the lives of individuals and families in the region. As a member, you will serve at Girls Inc for 10.5 months, August-June, full-time, providing essential support to students.

About Girls Inc
Girls Inc of the Central Coast inspires all girls to be strong, smart, and bold, empowering them to respect themselves and the world around them. They do this through facilitating after-school programs to support the well-being of girls.
What you will do:
he Programs Assistant supports the planning and implementation of engaging, age-appropriate programming for girls ages 8–12. This role assists with program coordination, participant supervision, youth leadership support, and administrative tasks to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality program delivery.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities for girls ages 8–12.
- Support coordination and recruitment of participants at designated school sites and program locations.
- Help supervise participants during program activities, meetings, and field trips to ensure a safe and positive environment.
- Assist with the supervision and support of Youth Leaders.
- Support girls in resolving conflicts using positive youth development practices.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with participants, parents/guardians, volunteers, and program staff.
- Communicate and coordinate program activities with other staff members.
- Attend required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions.
- Prepare and distribute snacks for participants at each program meeting or school site.
- Work collaboratively as a team member with the Deputy Director and other Program Staff.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and parents/guardians as needed.
- Assist with site set-up, clean-up, and decoration for program activities and events.
- Register new program members and assist with enrollment processes.
- Maintain accurate participant rosters, attendance records, database entries, and session evaluations as required.
- Collect payments from current members when applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program operations.
Time Requirements: M-Fri 9:30-6 pm with occasional weekends
