Office Administration Intern

Office Administration & Accounting Intern

Location: Dallas Metal Fabricators & Maintenance, Inc.
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible Schedule Up to 30 Hours Per Week
Compensation: $12.00 per hour

About the Internship

Dallas Metal Fabricators & Maintenance is a fourth-generation architectural metal fabrication company specializing in fabrication, finishing, and installation services. This internship provides hands-on exposure to business operations, accounting processes, project administration, and office management within the construction and manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with organizing and maintaining digital and physical filing systems
  • Support project setup, tracking, and closeout documentation
  • Perform data entry and maintain project records with accuracy
  • Assist with invoice processing, vendor documentation, and accounts payable support
  • Support inventory tracking and material documentation
  • Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets, and administrative records
  • Help maintain organized job files and project documentation
  • Provide general administrative support to office staff and project teams

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college, technical program, or workforce development program
  • Interest in business administration, accounting, operations, construction management, or a related field
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Work Environment

This is an office-based internship in a fast-paced construction and manufacturing environment. Interns will work closely with administrative, accounting, project management, and operations personnel while supporting day-to-day business functions.
