Electrical Construction & Commissioning Engineer

Hyundai Engineering & Construction (Hyundai E&C) is Korea’s premier global construction leader with a 78-year legacy.

Currently, we are spearheading a historic $5.8 billion integrated steel mill project in Donaldsonville, Louisiana. As the primary force behind this landmark development, we are building the first integrated electric arc furnace (EAF) facility in the U.S., delivering world-class industrial infrastructure on a global scale.

To drive this monumental vision forward, we are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Construction & Commissioning Engineer to join our team and contribute to the technical excellence of this landmark facility.

 

Key Responsibilities

■ Project Coordination
- Coordination with Clients, Contractor Counterparts and Subcontractors
- Drafting Work Method Statement for Electrical System

■ Construction Management
- Comprehensive Knowledge and Practical Application of Local Electrical Standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E and OSHA etc.
- Review of Electrical Drawing and Vendor Drawing
- Review of Mechanical and Instrument Vendor Drawing related with Electrical Construction & Commissioning
- Handling of Non-conformances and Quality Issue
- Review of RFQ, PO and Local PO for Material Purchase
- Troubleshooting for Electrical Construction and Pre-commissioning/commissioning

■ Temporary Electrical Power Construction Management
- Comprehensive Knowledge and Practical Application of Local Electrical Standards, NFPA 70 (NEC), NFPA 70E, NESC and OSHA etc.
- Review of Temporary Electrical Drawing
- Review of Generator, Overhead Line Design and Drawing
- Handling of Non-conformances and Quality Issue
- Troubleshooting for Temporary Electrical Power Construction and Pre-commissioning/commissioning

 

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a Related Field
- Minimum 3 years of Professional Experience in Electrical Construction Management and Pre-commissioning/commissioning of Large-scale Industrial Systems
- Professional Proficiency in English Communication
- No Restrictions on International Travel

 

Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for Technical Reporting, Progress Tracking, and Data Analysis
- Related License or Equivalent International Certification
