Creekside Community Church is a non-denominational church located in Traverse City MI. We are evangelical in nature and conservative in our doctrine. We rely on the Holy Spirit as we teach God’s biblical truth and offer our community the same grace that Jesus has given to us. The church has a long history of ministry and we are excited for the future thanks to a significant revitalization in the last 5 years. We are seeking to hire an assistant pastor to support the recent growth and help us in expanding our ministry.
Currently the church has 1 worship service with attendance of around 200 persons on Sunday mornings. The church is diverse in age, skewing more towards baby boomers but we also have multiple babies being born as well! The senior pastor is a graduate of Asbury Seminary and teaches/leads the church from a Wesleyan-Arminian theological background.
The youth ministry averages around a dozen 6-12th grade students who love to spend time together in prayer, fellowship, worship, and in scriptural discussion/study. The youth come from a variety of church/unchurched backgrounds. Many actively participate in Sunday morning ministry while a few are friends who are still exploring the faith from a distance. The youth currently meet on Wednesday nights during the school year after a church wide dinner. They continue to meet weekly during the Summer months in a modified event based ministry. The youth are invested in the ministry and enjoy discussing future plans and direction for their group. Our facility has a dedicated youth room attached to a gymnasium and our building is on 22 acres. Next year’s youth budget is forecasted to be $5500. The Pastor has been leading the group over the last year and along with the congregation is very supportive of ministry to children and youth.
