Almatis is seeking an intern to assist with generating new drawings for existing structural process equipment within one of the production departments.

This is a hands‑on, resume‑building opportunity designed for students looking to apply classroom learning to real manufacturing projects.

📐 POSITION DETAILS

• Title: Drafting Intern
• Location: Benton, AR
• Schedule: flexible daytime hours, 2-3 days per week
• Duration: until project is completed, minimum of 150 hours
• Compensation: $20/hour

🛠️ WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Generate drawings of existing chute work inside one of the production buildings.
• Take measurements and verify as-built information to ensure accurate details on the new drawings.
• Possibility of updating or generating arrangement drawings of the chute work throughout the production building.
• Use AutoCAD files in real production environments.
• Work closely with engineering and engineering management for accuracy, attention to detail, and consistency with company standards.

 ✅ WHO SHOULD APPLY

• Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of basic drafting techniques
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D REQUIRED
  • Able to create and modify computer generated drawings
  • Able to accurately take measurements in the field and transfer to AutoCAD
• Personal Skills:
  • Able to work independently, without constant supervision
  • Comfortable working in both an office environment and a plant environment (loud, dusty)
  • Good communication skills (written & verbal)
