HR Intern

HR Intern - ALSTOM

Could you be the full-time HR Intern in Hornell, NY we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your passion for Human Resources in a dynamic and innovative environment. You’ll work alongside collaborative and driven teammates.

You'll gain hands-on experience in core HR functions, contributing to impactful initiatives that shape the employee experience and organizational success. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, and Training & Development), support compliance efforts, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of onboarding new employees and coordinating learning programs, but also assist with performance management processes and employee relations initiatives.

We’ll look to you for:

Supporting initiatives that foster a positive work environment and help resolve workplace concerns

Participating in performance review processes and analyzing feedback and development plans

Assisting with recruiting efforts, candidate screening, and new hire orientation

Coordinating learning programs and tracking employee development metrics

Ensuring adherence to labor laws and internal policies through audits and documentation

Collaborating across teams to support HR projects and initiatives

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a business-related field with relevant coursework at an accredited university

Highly motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong interpersonal skills with a people-centric focus and the ability to collaborate across teams

Demonstrated accountability and a proactive approach to completing assignments and taking on new challenges

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with SharePoint

Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills

A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, and professionalism

 

Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at our Hornell office.
