About the Organization
Boundless Freedom Project (BFP) is a reentry nonprofit supporting individuals transitioning out of incarceration. We run programs, provide resources, and work directly with people rebuilding their lives. Our work is real, our community is resilient, and our story deserves to be told well.
Role Overview
We're looking for a creative student or recent grad who can help us capture what BFP does and tell that story across social media. This could be a photographer, videographer, content creator, or someone who does all three. The most important skill is knowing how to find a story in a room and turn it into content that connects with people.
What You'll Do
Attend BFP events and programs to capture photo and/or video content
Edit and deliver content ready for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn
Help shape the visual brand and storytelling presence of the organization
Collaborate directly with BFP leadership on content direction and priorities
What We're Looking For
Studying communications, film, marketing, journalism, graphic design, or a related field (or self-taught with work to show)
Skills in photo editing, video editing, or both — portfolio or samples required
Comfortable telling human stories with care and without sensationalizing
Based in or able to commute to the RDU/Triangle area for in-person events
What You'll Gain
Portfolio Work
Real nonprofit content you can use and own
Attribution
Credit on all published content
Leadership Access
Direct collaboration with the executive team
Letter of Recommendation
For strong contributors upon request
How to Apply
Apply through Handshake and include a link to your portfolio, Instagram, TikTok, or any samples of your work. Add a short note (a few sentences is fine) on why this role is a fit for you.
