Salary Range
$60,000–$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Position Summary
The Middle School ELA/Social Studies Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging instruction
in English Language Arts and Social Studies to sixth grade students while fostering literacy,
critical thinking, and civic understanding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Plan and deliver standards-based ELA and Social Studies instruction.
● Support the development of reading, writing, discussion, and analytical skills.
● Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Utilize instructional data to guide planning and intervention.
● Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment.
● Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff.
● Participate in grade-level and school-wide meetings and professional development.
● Maintain accurate records and documentation.
● Perform other duties as assigned by administration.
Qualifications
Required
● Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
● Appropriate New Jersey Department of Education certification.
● Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Preferred
● K–6 certification preferred.
● Experience teaching middle school ELA and/or Social Studies.
● Strong literacy instruction background.
