Pre-K Teacher – Little Scholars Preschool 

Start Date: September 2026 

Location: Rumford, RI 

Key Responsibilities: • Lead daily routines: calendar, literacy, Question of the Day • Implement play‑based curriculum aligned with RIELDS • Maintain an organized, engaging classroom • Prepare weekly projects and monthly curriculum updates • Participate in assessments and parent‑teacher conferences • Support school events, celebrations, and community visitors What We’re Looking For: • Passion for early childhood education • Strong communication and teamwork skills • Creativity, reliability, and a positive attitude • Ability to plan and stay organized Professional Growth: • Ongoing feedback and evaluations • 20 hours of annual professional development 

Qualifications: A person who meets all the qualifications in one (1) of the following options may assume the role of Teacher: • Option 1: The individual holds a High School Diploma with a vocational concentration in childcare and has two (2) years of supervised experience in a licensed/approved Early Program. • Option 2: The individual holds a high school diploma or a General Education Development (GED) certificate and has three (3) years supervised experience in a licensed/approved Early Childhood Program. • Option 3: The individual holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) and has one (1) year supervised in a licensed/approved Early Childhood Program. • Option 4: The individual has completed twelve (12) credits in Early Childhood Education or field related to Early Childhood Education from an accredited institution of higher education and has at least three (3) months supervised experience in a licensed/approved Early Childhood Program. • Option 5: The individual holds an associate's degree or higher in a field related to Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Services or Recreation from an accredited institution of higher education. 

Salary (hourly): $22-$24 an hour based on experience
