Executive Strategy & Operations Coordinator

Executive Strategy & Operations Coordinator

Location: Remote
Commitment: Approximately 10-15 hours per week

About Tangelic

Tangelic is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization advancing climate infrastructure, clean energy access, and sustainable development across Africa. Through innovative initiatives spanning decentralized renewable energy, climate finance, carbon markets, clean cooking, and community-centered infrastructure, Tangelic develops practical, scalable solutions that expand economic opportunity while strengthening climate resilience.

Working alongside governments, multilateral institutions, universities, philanthropic organizations, NGOs, and private-sector leaders, Tangelic is building the partnerships, systems, and investment frameworks needed to accelerate equitable climate development across emerging markets.

As a growing international organization, we believe talented people should not spend months observing from the sidelines. They should be trusted with meaningful responsibility, challenged to solve difficult problems, and given opportunities to help shape the future of the organization.

Position Overview

Tangelic is seeking an exceptional Executive Strategy & Operations Coordinator to work directly with the organization's executive leadership.

This is not a traditional internship.

You won't spend your time scheduling meetings, observing from the back of the room, or completing administrative assignments. Instead, you'll contribute to the strategic, operational, and organizational decisions that drive the growth of an international climate organization.

Working directly with executive leadership, you will help transform ambitious ideas into executable initiatives, improve organizational systems, support international partnerships, conduct executive research, coordinate high-impact projects, and contribute to decisions with real-world impact across Africa.

This position is designed for individuals who are intellectually curious, entrepreneurial, proactive, and eager to assume meaningful responsibility.

What You'll Do

Partner directly with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities.

Conduct research, analysis, and executive briefings that support organizational decision-making.

Identify opportunities to strengthen organizational systems, improve operational performance, and increase institutional capacity.

Coordinate strategic initiatives across multiple teams and help translate executive priorities into measurable execution.

Develop presentations, implementation frameworks, briefing materials, and strategic recommendations.

Support partnerships with governments, multilateral organizations, NGOs, universities, philanthropic institutions, and private-sector leaders.

Assist with organizational planning, climate infrastructure deployment, fundraising initiatives, and executive projects.

Monitor strategic priorities, organizational objectives, and project milestones while helping maintain accountability across the organization.

Take ownership of high-impact initiatives from concept through implementation.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for people who enjoy solving difficult problems.

Successful candidates are intellectually curious, highly organized, analytical, self-directed, and comfortable operating in environments where initiative is expected rather than assigned.

Students, graduate students, recent graduates, and early-career professionals from all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Backgrounds in business, economics, engineering, public policy, international affairs, sustainability, communications, law, political science, finance, entrepreneurship, or related fields are particularly encouraged.

What You'll Gain

Few early-career opportunities provide this level of exposure and responsibility.

As an Executive Strategy & Operations Coordinator, you will:

Work directly with Tangelic's executive leadership on organizational strategy and decision-making.

Gain firsthand exposure to climate finance, renewable energy, infrastructure development, carbon markets, nonprofit leadership, and international development.

Collaborate with governments, multilateral institutions, investors, universities, NGOs, and private-sector partners.

Develop practical experience in organizational strategy, executive operations, partnership development, fundraising, project management, and institutional growth.

Receive mentorship from experienced leaders working across climate, energy, policy, infrastructure, and international development.

Build an exceptional portfolio demonstrating strategic thinking, executive communications, organizational leadership, research, and project execution.

Expand your professional network through engagement with experts, practitioners, and institutions working across the global climate and development ecosystem.

Make meaningful contributions to projects that improve energy access, strengthen climate resilience, and support sustainable economic development across Africa.

Outstanding Coordinators who demonstrate exceptional initiative, performance, and leadership will be considered for expanded responsibilities and future leadership opportunities as Tangelic continues to grow.
