Dean of Students

Job Summary

Infinite Potential Learning Academy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dean of Students to support student behavior, school culture, family communication, and daily student accountability for grades K–5.

The Dean of Students will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment where students are held to high expectations while receiving the guidance and support they need to grow. This position requires strong leadership, clear communication, patience, consistency, and a heart for working with children.

The ideal candidate should have experience working with elementary-aged students, knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, behavior intervention plans, student support needs, and curriculum implementation. This role requires someone who can support both student behavior and instructional growth by helping ensure classroom expectations, academic goals, and curriculum plans are being followed consistently.

Key Responsibilities

• Support student behavior, discipline, and accountability for grades K–5
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and structured school culture
• Respond to classroom behavior concerns and student conflicts
• Communicate with parents regarding student behavior, progress, and concerns
• Assist staff with implementing student accommodations and support plans
• Support students with IEPs, learning needs, and behavior intervention plans
• Document student incidents, parent communication, and follow-up actions
• Help create and monitor behavior plans and student support strategies
• Provide guidance to students using a firm, fair, and nurturing approach
• Support arrival, dismissal, transitions, lunch, recess, and school-wide routines
• Collaborate with teachers to improve classroom management and student engagement
• Support teachers with curriculum implementation and instructional expectations
• Help monitor lesson plan completion, classroom instruction, and student engagement
• Assist with reviewing student progress and identifying areas where additional academic support is needed
• Work with leadership to ensure curriculum, behavior supports, and student accommodations align
• Provide feedback to teachers on classroom structure, routines, and instructional delivery

Qualifications

• Experience working with elementary-aged students required
• Experience in education, student support, behavior management, curriculum support, or school leadership preferred
• Knowledge of IEPs, accommodations, behavior plans, and student support strategies preferred
• Experience supporting curriculum implementation, lesson planning, or instructional coaching preferred
• Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused
• Strong documentation and follow-up skills
• Must be dependable, organized, and able to work as part of a leadership team
• Must be able to pass all required background screenings

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Full-time
• School-day hours, with occasional meetings or school events as needed
