Paid Social Media Intern

Paid Social Media / Film Marketing Intern

LCMedia Productions is seeking a paid intern to help promote the theatrical re-release of The Airwaves Belonged to the People: WBCN and The American Revolution, now underway in New England theaters.

This is a hands-on role in film promotion, marketing, and audience-building. The intern will help use Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok strategically to reach audiences, connect the film with local communities, build awareness, and help drive attendance for screenings.

Responsibilities include creating social media posts from film clips and screening information; writing captions; selecting tags and hashtags; researching relevant arts, music, film, media, and community accounts; helping with targeted outreach in screening cities; and tracking what works.

A strong candidate will have experience or coursework in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, film/media studies, or social media; strong writing skills; familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok; and an interest in film, media, music, journalism, history, or social change.

This is a paid remote internship requiring approximately 8 hours per week at $15/hour, with regular check-ins and occasional time-sensitive posting around screening dates.
