Software Test Technician - Precision Agriculture

Sage Ag Inc. is looking for an individual who is interested in working with Precision Ag equipment both in a field
and lab environment. In this position, you will be working individually and as a team to test software
applications on various agricultural equipment. This position will include some travel during Summer/Fall
seasons. Having a farm background or having experience operating or working on large Ag/Construction
equipment is preferred but not required. However, having the ability to communicate, take initiative and
present yourself professionally with a great attitude is a must.

Responsibilities:
 Executing test plans that verify software meets technical and customer requirements
 Execute scripted and unscripted test plans
 Safely operate large agricultural equipment for testing purposes
 Building wire harnesses used for testing and data collection
 Setting up and executing tests on vehicles in the field or in a lab environment
 Provide engineering support including: data collection, field testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and
documenting issues
 Collaborate with software developers and engineers to triage failures and help identify root cause.
 Troubleshooting and working with complex systems involving software, electronics and mechanical
systems
 Reproduce and investigate software issues that are found by customers or other test groups
 Provide detailed documentation of test execution and results
 Keep inventory and maintain test equipment/ hardware

Requirements:
 Minimum GPA of 2.5 in an Agricultural, Engineering, Information Systems or Computer Science major
 Some experience with farm machinery and farming practices
 Some knowledge of precision agriculture & application equipment
 Self-directed and ability to think analytically to complete projects without all details readily available
 Outgoing and positive attitude, professional presentation
 Valid U.S Driver’s License and clean driving record
 Willing to travel occasionally
 Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
 Ability to keep accurate & detailed records of work performed
 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to effectively communicate findings
 Comfortable being around and operating large machinery
 Ability to work long hours, some night operation could be necessary
 Ability to work in a team setting or independently
 Strong computer skills and knowledge of CAN Bus systems and vehicle electronics/software is ideal, but
not required

Compensation: Pay plus bonuses based on experience, all travel expenses paid by company
