Manager On Duty
Position: Manager on Duty
Wage: $20.60 to $24.16 per hour (Compensation is determined based on relevant experience, skills, and qualifications, with most new hires starting between the minimum and midpoint of the posted wage range)
Hours: Part-Time, Up to 25 hours per week
Shift: Friday Closing Shift, Possible Saturday and Sunday Coverage
Location: Mel Korum Family YMCA, Puyallup, WA
As a Manager on Duty, you will be responsible for overseeing branch operations and administration by ensuring staff and members are in compliance with all YMCA policies and practices, supervising branch staff, and responding to emergencies and member incidents.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).

- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.

- High school graduate or equivalent.

- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks (in accordance with the WA State Fair Chance Act).
- Positive attitude and previous experience with and diverse populations.
- Demonstrated maturity, sound judgment and decision making skills.
- Relevant knowledge and experience, especially in a supervisory and/or leadership capacity is preferred.
- A Current CPR for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid, AED, and Oxygen (preferred). Must be willing to obtain within 30 days of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and/or close the facility following proper procedures.
- Do facility walk-throughs during your shift.
- Support the Membership desk and Welcome Center.
- Build relationships with Members.
- Be the first responder to emergencies and incidents.
- Ensure safety and cleanliness standards are being maintained.
